Taking back the word ratchet back.
This ratchet belt has, so far, been better than the other brand I've purchased twice in which the ratchet system failed both times. My only complaint is that the metal hoop where the ratchet is is a bit large and sticks into you and doesn't lie flat with the rest of the buckle. The belt looks good and I wear it everyday. I wouldn't mind a version that is smooth on the outside, more professional looking.
